There are a few bugs, basically the norm.
Without installing any drivers, you can change the DPI by clicking on the unit twice and just scrolling the mouse wheel. Has some pros: 2, 3 clicks, holds well in the hand and for an 11 year old student it will simply be chic, there is a driver for the mouse, a cord. With its cons: The disadvantages are the design, and the volume of clicks (My opinion)
