When we bought our (new to us) 2005 JEEP Liberty late last year, there was a cover on the steering wheel. When we removed the cover we saw what 15 years of wear and tear looked like on the black leather steering wheel. She looked her age (plus a few years more). Today we cleaned the leather of the steering wheel according to the instructions, masked off the non-leather areas and applied black with the supplied foam swab. The first layer was "painted" and covered all the "bad spots". The second layer was applied with a brush stroke to add some grain to the skin. I applied a third layer (why not) and repeated the same action. WOW - we are talking about an excellent result. It looks like a new steering wheel and now we have to wait the required 72 hours before applying a top coat of soft satin sealer (repeat 3 coat process - painted / smeared to shade / smeared to finish). upper layer). Very happy with the results and expect the end product to look like a brand new steering wheel. RECOMMEND !
