My other mouse refuses to connect to my laptop and I need a BT mouse without a dongle for what I do as I only have 2 USB ports on my work laptop. The wires get in the way like crazy and that fits the bill. The other one used 2 AA batteries and when it ran out I was stuck. Of course there is a touchpad, but that's not really my cup of tea. Since I travel so much between jobs, something thin and light was on the agenda. It doesn't make my pocket bigger either. More than perfect for my needs! It's also rechargeable and can be used WHILE it's charging, which is even better as it lets me get my work done instead of getting stuck with a stupid trackpad. The clicker and scroll wheel are very quiet, feel sturdy, and the whole device was packaged nicely. I will buy another one for my iMac at home.
