year old cat who lives in an often cold house so wanted i try it. Since our house is only heated with a wood stove, it can happen that the room temperature reaches 50°C when nobody is around to lay firewood during the day. The bed only uses 4 watts, so running costs are quite low even if the cat is in it 90% of the day! My calculations put electricity costs at $0.50 per month. I haven't figured out how the bed turns on and off, but I have two beds and one of them seems to stay on or turn on randomly. I took out the heating pad and it stayed off while it was on the workbench, but turned back on as soon as it was placed back on the bed. As an added benefit, one of the beds is on my bed where the cat always sleeps and it warms up the space on the bed so I can warm my feet after I go to bed. As further proof that the beds were well received, two photos of cats are included! In the first photo, the oldest cat is enjoying triple warmth from the bed, sunlight and the nearby wood stove. The second photo shows a middle-aged cat, comfortable enough to lie on its back in a bedroom with a temperature of 60 degrees.
