Love love love this laptop. I've been working with computers since 1990. This is the third Chromebook I've used and by far the best. I don't understand why more experienced computer users haven't written reviews about it. Good features: 15.6-inch Full HD IPS display. This is the best display I've seen on any computer other than a MacBook Pro. The display and the fantastic battery alone are worth the price. Contrast, resolution and colors are amazing. Touch screen. As an old man I don't use it much but it works fine. The battery is not needed yet. However, the excellent ratings of this battery in editorial and customer reviews made me prefer this laptop to the Acer Aspire 5 Slim 15.6 inch Fast CPU, GPU. Enough RAM to use. Internet and Productivity: Streaming TV shows and movies on Hulu worked better than on my old Windows PC that only had 3GB of RAM. With this Chromebook, streaming runs absolutely smoothly. The sound is absolutely clear. Good speakers. I edited Word and Excel files and automatically saved the files locally. Warmth. If you don't want your computer heating your room, get a Chromebook. Absolutely silent. Connects easily to my Google smartphone. The keyboard and mouse I bought for my Windows laptop and used with it before worked immediately. So I have a ten-key numeric keypad and a large keyboard on my lap. Enough ports. It features 2x USB Type-C USB 3.1 Gen 1 (up to 5 Gbps), DisplayPort over USB Type-C and 2x USB 3.0 ports. I learned that USB Type-C connectors are very flexible and fast. I bought a USB hub that extends one USB 3.1 Gen 1 or USB 3.0 to four 3.0. I will be buying another hub that connects a USB Type-C port to a range of USB, SD card and even HDMI ports. 32GB eMMC. I remember getting excited when my new desktop computer had a whopping 3GB of free hard drive space. If you save a bunch of videos it will be full, but if not I think it will be ok. Bad: Pearson Text for Revain Kindle Cloud Reader doesn't seem to work in the bundled Chrome browser. I updated it but it still doesn't show up as a download option. I was able to read other titles with the Revain Kindle Cloud Reader on this Chromebook. The Pearson e-text I rented through Vitalsource.com does not work, although Pearson's free trials and access cards worked. I spent a lot of time with tech support and cleared their cache. Bad luck. Chrome OS doesn't allow you to install other browsers unless you perform an advanced setup. I don't know if the RAM or the SSD can be expanded. This is one area where the slim Acer Aspire 5 definitely outperforms this Chromebook. If you plan to store a lot of audio or video, this is something to consider. If I didn't need to be mobile and take advantage of this Acer Chromebook 15's amazing battery, or store lots of audio or video files, I would buy an Acer Aspire 5 Slim laptop. But the battery life is poor and not easy to remove. Again, that battery isn't replaceable, but who needs it when it lasts that long?
