Got 2 of these for my Gray and my Revane. They are dirty and waste a lot of food. One of the feeders had a piece broken off so I sent it back. The other one had a torn seam, so Krazy taped it up. I first tried the rest on my Gray but it's really freaky and didn't go well with it for 2 days. Then I put it in my Revane's cage. She is more adventurous and immediately started chewing on the pole. I took out the feeder and wrapped the whole pole in duct tape. In the meantime I ordered another feeder, determined to let Gray use it. Eventually he started exploring it and guess what! Yes, he started chewing on the bar. So Duck taped that off too and bought a plastic tube to cover the shower curtain rod. Cut off the sleeves to fit over the bars. So far so good, but it's only a matter of time before they realize they can chew on it too. Both will not eat in the feeders, but will come for a piece of food (I give them pellets, and they're expensive!) and then come back. Because they have to work so hard to get their own food, they eat much cleaner food, resulting in less waste and less mess. I love the concept of these feeders but the quality control is questionable. Disappointed with roosts and surprised as this company should know bird behavior.
