Review on πŸ–¨οΈ BestEasy Commercial Printing Compatible Printer by Devon Holmes

This is a good printer, but it takes a little effort. I'll show you how.

So here's the thing, we have a $1200 zebra printer at work. It's fantastic, it prints perfectly every time, but the price is prohibitive for a home or small business thermal printer. This printer is a really solid option at around a hundred bucks (at the time of writing), but it has an initial setup glitch that's easily fixed. You will see many people here complaining about the print quality of this printer, especially on the Mac I use it on. And they are right. The default settings are garbage. but no one seems to talk about configuring this printer in the Mac printer preferences, and it's not even mentioned in the manufacturer's installation guide. I was curious to see if this printer would print well as the test sheet that came with it actually looks ok, but all the labels I first printed out looked like junk. So it's clear that this printer has the potential to be successful. So after playing around with the settings for about an hour I had really good results which you can see in other photos. I suggest playing around with these printer settings yourself as your printer may be different, but I'll post what worked for me below. Inches "This will prevent the label from printing multiple pages on your thermal printer. Then select the preview drop down in the middle of the print window and navigate to the printer features. You will see a new drop down list starting with Quality and below that an option "color option". Set the color option to "none". Setting it to grayscale will force macOS to convert every print, including black and white washed out grayscale. It's this setting that causes the blurring that so many people mention. Then from the Quality drop-down list, select the Printer Options section. In this settings menu, set the Orientation: 0 degrees, Method: use current printer setting Type: use current printer setting Darkness: 10 Start Position: use current printer settings Reprint Action: Tear Stop Offset: Use current printer settings When finished, go to the top of the print window, select presets and save your current settings as presets. Give it a name and save it. Use this preset when printing to this printer and you will get results or close to the results I have shown in the images. Not sure what you need to do to get this all working on Windows, perhaps the manufacturer can update their installation guide to include all of these setup steps. You will likely receive fewer returns and letters of support.
