Will not work with 18 AWG
Bought these for a chandelier I am building but I will probably throw them away and use the wing nuts. These connections are a great concept, but not the best execution. I'm using 18AWG wiring, which the product claims to work with, but no matter how hard I press the connector, it won't stay closed, resulting in poor contact for current flow. It would probably be great for 20 or 22 AWG, but 18 AWG is too big for these connectors.
