This board is a Haltech V2 LORA card. It comes with an unbalanced antenna that must be grounded. Unfortunately, in most applications no ground layer is available so antenna performance can be very good or probably very bad. Replacing the antenna with a dipole is best for most applications when size is not an issue. The rest of the board is of high quality. Disconnect the battery. The battery charges via a USB connection, and if it's going to be used in a fixed location and the battery is acting as a backup in the event of a power failure (e.g. in a repeater application), you're done. Otherwise, placing the switch in line with the battery seems like a solution.
