Great sound but short lived

I really liked the sound of these headphones but lost the sound in one ear about 10 days after purchase. Thinking it might just be a defective pair I returned them in exchange for a new pair. However, the new pair broke about a week after I started using them. I don't know if it's just me or not; I don't think I'm being too rough with them or anything but none of the pairs I've received have lasted more than 2 weeks. It's a shame because the sound was so good. Maybe other users have better luck than me.
