Like an idiot, I was more concerned about buying this dog pack than I needed to. Like . I literally read about 80 reviews on this and other packs and finally FINALLY clicked the damn buy now button. I'M SO HAPPY! We took our 112 pound German Shepherd 1/2, 1/2 Chesapeake Bay Retriever named Sheriff on our first test hike in Park City, Utah today. We walked about six miles and he was happy as a clam. Best of all, the pack stays centered on his back and doesn't tip over to one side or the other; does not slip or rub. We bought him a large size and I feel like he is about as big as you can get without going up a size, but the large fits him perfectly! The sheriff thought it was pretty cool when he wore it. that seems to have made him an official trekking assistant or something. He carried our first aid kit, some water bottles and some dog bags. I like the bag, the sheriff too!
