I had foot surgery last year and quickly broke my back. I got orthopedic insoles, but then it was painful to look for shoes that would stand up to the orthopedic and it was painful to switch from shoe to shoe. Someone recommended Vionics as they had good insoles but if they are wrong their insoles are removable and my orthotics fit. Although I didn't have to. This is my third pair in 1 1/2 years. These are my main shoes. I use them for fitness walking, regular everyday wear and my old ones for gardening. I would be lost without her. I had to buy a size larger than usual. I always buy trainers a little larger, but they felt a little tight, so I had to go up half a size. The outsole wears out faster than expected. They look good (although the blue is a bit lighter than the gray and orange I wore). They have laces, but tighten them once the laces are where you want them. When I can get back to more serious exercises I might try something with more lateral support, but for now they're working great for me.
