They are very soft although I still prefer cotton. My big complaint is that they are very long. I'm about 5ft 6 inches tall, weigh 150 pounds and am lean but muscular. The medium size suits me for sleeping and lounging at home but is a bit awkward as they are too long for their size and quite narrow at the hips. would be perfect for someone around 6ft 3in and 165lbs - very long and narrow. There is also no fly, which seems to be the trend for shorts of this type these days. They are very thin and not suitable for wearing outside the home in my opinion.
