Aside from being ridiculously expensive I have no complaints about this wooden BabyBjorn bouncer. This is a very high quality toy made of wood, plastic and steel. One of the reasons for the high price is that it is actually produced in Sweden (in Bredaride, southern Sweden to be precise), where wages and living standards are quite high. You'd be forgiven for thinking it was made in China, like the tide in general. Well, everything we buy these days, but I'm happy to report that's not the case. I have no doubts about product safety (having lived in Sweden myself, I know how committed they are to safety and social responsibility). The wood is smooth and very well varnished. It is easy to install by simply attaching the side of the rocker. It can then be slid up or down to adjust for child's reach. There is no wrong way to install it. Since the toy is symmetrical, there is no "front" or "back". Eyes roll back and flowers make sounds as they spin. It is very funny. If you're thinking about getting one but are hesitant because of the cost, add it to your child's registry as we do. Someone will buy it for you! I will let you know in a few months when my son arrives and is old enough to interact with.
