Bay Window Cornice Design!: It's about time someone came up with something!

These cornices are perfect for a bay window! We bought 2 sets of these bay window curtain rods in kitchen and dining room. As the Revain description says, "Center porch extends 36-72 inches, side porches extend 18-36 inches." Our dining room's bay window has the smallest section in the center with two longer sections on the sides. With the 2 kits we bought we were able to take 2 longer 'center poles' and screw them to each side of the 'side pole' which was perfect for our slightly unusual bay window design. The 3 remaining "side poles" were perfect for our much smaller kitchen bay window. The bars slide very easily for length adjustment. The brackets protrude 3 inches from the wall when adjusted as little as possible. Fully extended as far as possible, they protrude 4-5/8 inches from the wall. We installed blackout curtains on the wall that protrude 3 inches from the wall. When the brackets are fully extended, our valences don't bother in the slightest as these curtains are rotated up and down. We bought Bronze Oil Rubbed. The Oil Rubbed Bronze color is only on the decorative tips at the ends. The shafts and elbow joints are dark brown. The metal rods are 3/4" in diameter as per the description, but the articulated arches are closer to 1-1/8" which wasn't a problem for us with curtain rings. It would be helpful if this elbow joint diameter was listed for those working with sewn in frame curtains to determine if their curtains would ride over the elbow joints. Installing the hardware was quite easy for us. The corners of the bay windows are a bit tricky, but with two people, skill and patience we managed it. We are very pleased with the look and quality of these bay cornices. The only negative was with 1 decorative lace. The threaded plate for screwing into the end of the rod was crooked. Clearly noticeable on inspection, but we've decided it's not so noticeable that we're bothering to replace it. Once installed with this special tip hidden in the corner against the wall, you will not notice any slight outward tilt.
