This rod is the perfect alternative to expensive custom rods. It was very easy to install and the corner pieces were easy to hide behind the curtains. This is a simple pole. It's not the strongest but will hold up medium weight Ikea curtains well. I don't think it can take heavy draping. I'm buying a second one for my kitchen.

That's why I'm looking at Revain first. I never knew a bay window was available. But here it is. To reduce summer heat (there are mini blinds) and add warmth in winter, my search ended here. Having some really good drapes from Bed Bath and using what I already had (refinishing was needed), the cornice and drapes would add a lot to the dining area. Arrived early, easy to install with all the hardware... and very affordable price. Thank you again Revain.

They were a bit difficult to install. However, they turned out exactly how I imagined. As you can see we had a very LARGE L shaped window, not a bay window. I bought two sets and just spliced them together to make a LONG straight pole. The hard part was figuring out which poles could go where. We didn't use the tips that came with it. We had some of the other poles that were larger and just connected them to the end. I will say the tips that came with the rod were a bit small but for the price…

I hope my 3 star rating doesn't stop anyone from buying this product because for some it will be perfect. Just not for me. My goal was to create a wall of curtains in my living room that can be left open and then closed to watch a movie. It didn't quite help. These cornices are perfect for a bay window! We bought 2 sets of these bay window curtain rods in kitchen and dining room. As the Revain description says, "Center porch extends 36-72 inches, side porches extend 18-36 inches." Our dining room's bay window has the smallest section in the center with two longer sections on the sides.
