Review on πŸ“· Wireless Rechargeable Battery Powered Outdoor Security Camera - 1080P HD WiFi Home Surveillance with Waterproof Design, Night Vision, Motion Detection, 2-Way Audio, and SD Storage by Gary Duncan

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I have tried many video surveillance systems. It's the one!

My security camera criteria are: 1) Good image quality 2) Triggers at a good distance 3) Record video locally (no subscription fee and no privacy) 4) Few false positives 5) Good phone app for controlling and viewing cameras video. 6) Reasonable price. The Zeeporte camera meets all of the above parameters. I'll start by trying the Eufy 2C, Vava, and Blink X2C systems. All of them are more expensive (and sometimes much more expensive) than Zeeporte. But Zeeporte surpasses everything I've tried so far. The battery life of this camera is decent. I have used it extensively with many tests over the last 6+ days. I recorded 209 moves and that's 89%. Having used it extensively I would rate it 10% per week which means it will last 10 weeks (2.5 months) on a single charge. As for the size of memory card you need, I used 0.22GB from a 120GB card I bought. At the current rate, it will record 1.5 years before filling up - and then simply reset. Clips are easily transferred to phone storage (online for my iPhone). During testing, I set the motion detection sensitivity to the maximum value (95). What really impresses me about this camera is the low number of false alarms. Actually I don't get anything. He picks up people and cars and that's it. And it doesn't seem to miss a single event. The camera angle affected the actuation distance, so try other angles. The only improvement I see is the mount. That's fine, but as I mentioned in my title, I've tried several brands including Eufy, Vava, and Blink. All of these brands had excellent mounts, but what Zeeporte has is fine. I had to make sure I dressed well. One note: the rest of the manufacturers I've listed require base stations and don't record on the camera itself. Zeeporte does. That means if someone steals your camera, they get your videos too. So keep the camera out of reach. The camera shouldn't be mounted low, and the instructions don't say so. This is probably another reason why the Zeeporte doesn't have a magnetic mount. which would make stealing easier. The clasp it has requires you to unscrew it. I just remembered another great feature of Zeeporte. At the end of the day, you can view the events for the day (and all previous days) in a view that shows a timeline and allows you to quickly jump to any event and view it over time. It's really nice to have! All in all I recommend it 100%

Pros
  • Wireless and intelligent motion detection: This home security camera, outdoor camera, wireless without wires, much more convenient to install and much safer because of its reliability. The PIR sensor can send alerts to your smartphone (Android or iPhone) when motion is detected, providing a higher level of security that deters thieves and helps control the visitors who might come to your door.
