Some brushes may seem expensive, but they are worth their weight in gold. I have a 1955 house and the tub in the hallway was so dirty and full of dirt that I was considering either replacing it or having it professionally repaired. They were relatively cheap and had a long nozzle, but there were too many 1 and 2 star reviews in addition to 4 and 5. I can still consider one of these for easy cleaning, but the problem with them is twofold. First, the 3.6 volt motors can't compete with the 18 volt cordless drill they use here. Also, there is leverage at work so using a 3.6 lengthened rod is bound to get you into trouble and with that kind of reach you can't really rely on it to pull the hard stuff. They also have a third problem, which is that it takes about 20 hours to charge initially and then only takes about 60 minutes. That would be a real headache for my 2.5 hour watch. So I bought this one instead. I'm very glad I did. He took this old tub from 1955 and made it look almost new again. This is not a free ride. I put on my knee pads and spent 2.5 hours scrubbing the tub, tiled walls and glass shower door. It was worth it. I started out using Bar Keepers Cleaning Fluid and then switched to Restorative Fluid to oxidize fiberglass. I say is this the way? Not quite, but I think any good cleaner will do as the brushes do most of the work. Now I'm looking for a good sealer to try and keep it that way. The brushes show absolutely no signs of wear after all the cleaning, so should last a long time. Basically, I used a large head and a round nose cone. The large head on the white tub leaves black marks from the black backing on the brush, but these can be removed fairly easily by going around the corners/edges along the bottom with a round head. If you don't already have a cordless drill, I would suggest that you get one; at least 14.4 volts, although 12 volts is really easy and comfortable. Then get this brush set. There are a million uses for a cordless drill and these brushes are for tile, glass, shower doors, bathtubs, you name it. My house will shine once I get to all the places where I can use it.
