I have mixed hair, long, curly and thick at the roots. When my hair is SUPER straight (in the salon) it goes down my back, past my bra strap. When it's curly (I just let it dry how it wants) it SITS to just above my shoulders. This product leaves my hair dry, not silky but pretty smooth even with my edges! I go back to my flat iron to curl the ends for a finished look. The product didn't burn me but it does get hot so USE the glove provided. I started with small strands of hair at the back and ended up with medium strands in the middle but small strands in the front. I ran the flat iron through my hair several times. Don't forget to use a heat protectant with this product - each tooth heats up individually so the heat travels through your hair, not like a straightener where they kind of get pinched, so every time you run the product through your hair letting the comb go through a different part of it by parting your hair so more of your hair is exposed to the heat instead of just heating the same pinched area like a flat iron would. Be sure to use thermal protection. Normally it takes me a little over an hour to straighten my hair, with this straightening brush it took me about 40 minutes. So it was definitely an improvement over the time it takes me to get my hair done. And honestly I love it because I couldn't straighten my hair as super straight as with a flat iron. I love the fact that it has still allowed me to have a little bit of body in my hair.
