Quick Info: I'm a student and I prefer projectors to TVs (easier to cast and choose different screen sizes). I usually set up the projector in my living room to project onto a wall with no screen or background. I've been using a cheaper RSA projector for a while and haven't thought about upgrading for a while. When I was looking through the offers of the day, I came across this projector. I usually research products thoroughly before buying them and finally decided to try this projector. After weeks of experimenting with its many features, I came to this conclusion: image quality. The first thing that struck me was the clarity and detail of the image. I just used the wall in my room and it looked like a built in 250 inch tv. I tried to get some good pictures but cellphone cameras just can't do it. I've been playing around with a Firestick, Xbox 360, and media player/mobile device. Movies look fantastic, as do video games like the rock band at 360. The mobile display wasn't the best and tends to feel buggy when switching from app to app or streaming. In my opinion, the media player does not match the price. Remote Control: The remote control is terrible. Do the job, ok. It is made of super cheap material and immediately catches the eye when you open it. The buttons can be awkward to press and the projector doesn't always accept commands from the remote control. You'll likely find yourself hitting the keys multiple times before getting a response. Sound: Another thing I wanted to address is the sound. This applies to both the actual sound of the projector and the fan noise. The sound of the projector is fine. I'm a music lover and that wasn't enough for me. Unable to fix input lag when connecting to speakers via Bluetooth. To put this in perspective, a rock band needs to be prepared for an audio delay of 255ms between what's on screen and the accompanying audio. This differs from TVs and monitors and averages around 30 ms. So, watching things connected to Bluetooth speakers can be unsettling for those who want to hear explosions per second when something explodes in a movie or video game. (I'm not sure if the audio cable is significantly better or not. I'd say yes). Finally, the fan in this machine is quite noisy. I don't have any other mid-range projectors to compare it to, but it seems louder than it should be. It doesn't bother me much. Other notes: One weird thing about this projector is when it's turned off. Even after turning off completely, the projector still emits a faint light. In the darkness of the room you will notice it. This is the last screen the projector played before turning off. Not a big problem as I just put the lens cap on when I'm done with it. Overall this is a solid projector that offers fairly competitive image quality compared to other projectors. I feel that for this price there could be many improvements e.g. B. Media player latency issues and junk removal. I will not return it. It will work well in my college apartment.
