I had a 2500lb winch on my boat trailer that was stuttering on my boat trailer. I bought this 3200lb Fulton F2 winch after reading all the fine print. It should have been more than I needed. When I received it and opened the box it said right on the side of the winch that it was only rated for 1600lbs with a full reel. My other winch has a manufacturer rating of 2500 pounds, full or empty spool. My old winch has a belt that's twice as thick because it's actually rated for 2500 pounds of pull when you need it most when the spool is full. I called Fulton and they told me that was the industry standard. However, if there is 1600 pounds on the winch side, you must state this when selling. It's not anywhere on this Revain list. It's just false advertising. This winch pulls at 1600 pounds, not 3200 pounds. Don't take my word for it, check out the current specifications for manual winches in a standard boat trailer steel case. You say 2500, so 2500.
