I used this kit and 16-85 lenses on the d7000. As soon as I didn’t shoot them, I didn’t go anywhere with them, and I bought both of them testing and carefully choosing. So these two lenses are inferior in sharpness to the 18-55 lens, yes, yes, the one that is several times cheaper than them! For landscapes at a wide angle (18mm), among lenses up to 15 thousand, it is better not to find 18-55. Who would not say anything, but 18-55 SHARPER! CLEAR! Tamron without stub 17-55 2.8 has a similar sharpness to 18-55, the only advantage is faster aperture. For portraits, buy a fix, there will be sharpness and chic bokeh. for night shooting of landscapes, in addition to fixing, use the same 18-55, but do not shoot with your hands, but put it on something to stabilize the camera in one position or from a tripod - at a slow shutter speed. So that there is no movement, and soapiness, respectively. I advise the TV set 55-200, inexpensive and clear. These glasses are the best among inexpensive ones. By the way, when I posted photos from a younger whale on the forum, having erased the exif, many owners of 18-105 and 16-85 thought that I was shooting with some kind of good sharp glass. When I revealed that at 18-55, they were VERY surprised. Because for some reason it is generally accepted that 18-105,16-85 is better than that. 18-105 is only more expensive and soapier - that's its difference. And those extra 50mm focal lengths lose all meaning on it.
