Don't buy for food storage
These canisters might come in handy in the event of a nuclear disaster or biblical flood, but otherwise I don't recommend them. They look good, but the lid seal is so tight that I've spilled flour and sugar all over the kitchen several times trying to get the lids off. And that's after realizing and understanding the problem, compensating for it and trying different removal strategies. This UBER is frustrating, and this morning after refilling the kitchen with flour, I threw it in the bin. Goodbye forever!
