I agree with others that the quality is sub par. Wood panels consist of multiple strips stapled together with small gaps showing (I will seal these up before mounting). Time will tell if it last 1 or 2 seasons. I have some scrap aluminum flashing that I may cover the roof with. It's not bad for my first bee house, will see how popular it is with the bees here.UPDATE:I ended up returning the Mason Bee House. Purchased other ones from LOWE'S for less and are larger and much nicer quality. (Some of us do not have sheltered areas to place these.)
- The bee house is relatively small and minimizes space usage
- The bee house may attract bees that are not native to the region or ecosystem, potentially causing harm to local plant species
