Refurbished was 75% cheaper than the original price so I went with it. In my house, day and night. We've been using it for 3 months now. Our home is about 1,400 square feet upstairs and has an 800 square foot basement that is almost finished; 52 years old at the time of publication. We subscribe to Comcast/Xfinity 300Mbps internet service and get 250Mbps throughout the house and beyond. The system hasn't let us down yet. Required a reboot to get the internet up when our internet service went down and came back on which other routers didn't need (Nighthawk, Asus) but it's not a big deal. It also allows you to use a subscription to the Disney Circle service, which would be great if our kids needed it. (There aren't any right now, but there's still time.) If you need fast service throughout your house, this is a really great router.
