Review on SUPERIOR Jacquard Matelasse Basketweave Bedspread Bedding by Nikki Evans

Revainrating 5 out of 5

beautiful heavy jersey, 100% cotton, gentle cleaning

Very comfortable, warm without constant sweating because 100% cotton "breathes". If you find it hard or uncomfortable right out of the box, try a refreshing 5-minute air spin or a low dry cycle. Don't let all of these upcoming fabric care tips stop you from buying this or any of the other great 100% Cotton Superior items: they're available at a reasonable price for such beautiful natural fabrics, and you can't beat 100% cotton for softness warmth and security. . . Just don't think or treat your linens (or clothes!) like a cheap facial tissue or kitchen towel - you'll be fine. About laundry - listen to this for all clothes and linens: Detergent, hot water and dryer heat. Enemies, not friends of stuff. These 100% cotton items are prone to lint, and machine washing/drying produces a lot of lint, in some cases to the point of disaster. So if you don't want to dry clean this item (or other natural fiber bedspreads) (which uses chemicals) - generally you can determine cleanliness by blotting the stains with a towel and even some natural detergent. like Frau Meyers on tap. You can also run it through the dryer without a prewash to freshen it up and remove dust. Note that while this item can be tumble dried, some other fabrics may be damaged when heated in a tumble dryer. Therefore, check the label for the fabric composition. For most large and heavy objects, detecting spills or soil is recommended if you find it effective. Try to wash seldom, if at all, and if washing is necessary, treat it as a very delicate fabric. Use a gentle or gentle cycle with cold wash and a small amount of detergent to get only light suds - if you can, add soap after it's been churned to get an idea of how much suds you're picking up. Run 2 or more gentle cold water rinses, adding fabric softener to the last rinse. If possible, let it air dry; You can fold it in half and place it on garden furniture or on a clean patio or balcony wall, for example. After air drying, you can leave it on an air drying cycle for 5-10 minutes to remove excess lint once it has dried. If you need to tumble dry it, run it through a low cycle a few times, taking it out each time to shake it to rid it of clumps and redistribute the weight. Repeat as many times as needed over low heat until it dries up but doesn't dry out.
