Bought this coffee house model for my 10 year old who loves little things and doll houses. Do not buy this for your 10 year old even if you think his attention to detail is masterful and his coordination is excellent. You will continue to help them with this project until next Christmas. If you are lucky. Take a close look at the close-up pictures of this product. Everything is made from paper, beads and tiny pre-cut pieces of wood. The only preinstalled item in the entire coffee set were two tiny coffee cups. Needless to say, I wasn't expecting it. I was expecting cut outs, stickers and little miniature ready meals and utensils to be glued in place to complete an oh and ahh. What I got were hours of cutting out each extremely detailed and intricate paper object, and then several more hours of trying to fold and glue microscopic protrusions to put them together, trying to avoid finger cramps who crushed and crushed these complex paper objects. The kit comes with picture instructions that aren't too difficult to follow, but the real winner that saved us was the life-size BOM diagram. Refer to it often to stay sane. Even if you think you have the right part A to glue to part B, check the parts diagram first. Please. All these surprises aside, this is a fun, if boring, project to work with my daughter. It is very difficult to fold and glue tiny pieces of paper. There are enough tools in the set, but I am grateful that we bought our daughter an extra set of craft tools. The scissors in this set will force you to amputate your fingers after the fourth cut. Notes are fragile. That's why I'm not giving this set 5 stars. The frame and cabinet/table details are quite strong compared to paper. I can't comment on the simplicity or quality of the wired portion of the kit as we won't be getting there at the pace we are going for the next ten years or so. We have been working on this for several years. hours now. We have the first two pages of the instructions in the booklet accompanying the all-too-small, charming, quirky display cases at the other end of the shop itself. That's probably a good thing, since we're still practicing basket-weaving underwater. All in all, this is a good buy for an extended project on a rainy day. For an adult. With young eyes and nimble fingers.
