. Did exactly what I needed. I can mirror or extend the display, no problem or lag. The audio output also worked well. It's a 1080p LG TV, I haven't tried it on my living room 4K TV as my Mac is desktop although I don't see any problems. I'm not sure if it can reach 4K as my Mac shows 1440p resolution on the internal display but is probably capable of displaying 4K. I only set it up for a day, but using it for YouTube and the like on my office TV is great. . The cable is a bit stiff, which will likely help reduce cable stress in the long run, but make sure your HDMI is long enough. Also, don't forget to output the sound to your TV in the system settings, as it wasn't output by default on mine. My Mac also crashes Sierra 10.12.6 for those who need this software compatibility information. (I haven't jumped into the High Sierra yet, but I don't see a problem with that).
