: After programming the remote, I turn off the TV late last night but nothing. Tried reset, nothing. I finally got it installed this morning, but it shouldn't have lost the programming in less than a day. Considering volume and mute issues and such, I think I got a faulty remote control. The remote control is a decent size, not bulky, not too small. I was able to quickly set it up to turn my LG TV and even my old Yamaha soundbar on and off. However, it was not possible to get him to detect the volume and not mute the sound on any of the devices. After searching for answers I tried using these functions on my directv remote and it worked! My LG TV is new, it should have worked but at least I found a workaround. The 2nd UPDATE company reacted quickly and provided a replacement, which doesn't say in the product information that you have to program everything, not just the performance, that's it. You need to program Power, Mute, Volume Up, Volume Down, etc. Instructions could be better. Now that it's working properly for me, I like it.
