I definitely spent my money on this hat. Where the hat was used no lower than the mid 40's. I wanted it for gardening. I "tried" to use the header less than half a dozen times and came to the conclusion that 1.) it wasn't very convenient. 2.) He had a bad turn on how he moved with me when I was raking leaves or composting. 3.) The most important thing is that your ears don't freeze. So I believe the hat was donated by one of the veterans organizations (hopefully to raise money from sales of the hat in store, not to give to a veteran as a "gift" they will regret).
