Poor thread tolerance and breaks easily when installed.
Purchased for birch plywood amp stand and subwoofer box. I had ripped 3 out of 13 of these inserts during installation, so I couldn't fully flush install them. Once broken, they are difficult to remove or fully seat. I also noticed that the thread tolerance on my metric machine screws was very loose. I ended up removing 11 of the 13 installed due to poor tolerance. I couldn't remove the 2 inserts because they tore when glued in place. I ended up with a different type of metric threaded wood insert that is much stronger and has a tighter thread tolerance.
