Alright, but plan on changing it up a bit, or how it is. Short term survivability

After a few months in the car. At $8, it's worth the tinkering, but there's an emergency braking handicap, and the design is a bit ill-considered. . However for you creative people this is a good base to start with and then modify and make a better working holder. increases by further cutting or dremeling (very careful, it can snap, so using a hacksaw blade is not recommended unless you take it slow and sharpen it). And while this reduces the integrity of the holder itself, you might find this better, especially if your brake(s) aren't set to make contact early on the upstroke. I would add grommets to the front leading edges as part of the injection molding process on the sides so you can attach the holder at its base to the transmission console ('96 Cherokee Sport), but you can do this with your own grommets or maybe some good duct tape if looks are not a priority. To increase safety, the cut-out area should be finished with a rubberized molded rubber "bumper" fitted around this edge, available at any auto/hardware store. with double sided tape and/or an extra piece of plastic or metal sheet that gives the holder some strength as two attachment points are not enough for long life. Finally fewer cup holders (if you're not very careful) and more space for chewing gum, lip gloss, keys, etc. Not bad, just not perfect. Recommended for hobby/equipment.
