worked fine. You need to make sure your lock slot is correct. There is a straight up and down or angle which I misunderstood, still locks and works well, the clasp has a light spring load. So if he doesn't go all the way to the open position, he won't pull the small latch back. I haven't had any problems with it, if you push it straight it just snaps back into the groove for fear that one of the little kids might scratch it if they walk past it.
