There will be no POST with 4 GPUs and UEFI settings "optimized by default ".

Edited September 30, 2020: RMA process took 5 weeks! The Gigabyte repair shop is only 20 miles from my house. Edited on August 26, 2020: Downgraded to 1 star. Two days ago, this board died completely in what NASA would call a "catastrophic failure." Died completely after only 8 months. But with the 3 year guarantee I thought it was great, I should be ready to go in a few days. I need this workstation to run as fast as possible so I just got off the phone with gigabyte support. WILL NOT FAST. I asked them about crossshipping the new board to me and I was willing to give them my credit card information for crossshipping. No, I was told that Gigabyte has suspended this option. You have to pay for the repair. Wonderful. So as soon as I hung up I grabbed the Revain and bought a new $850 motherboard that will be here in two days. I'll look into gigabytes over the next few weeks or months and sell a replacement on eBay. TRX40 AORUS XTREME, Gigabyte's "flagship" motherboard, Gigabyte's "most advanced" motherboard, will not be released when 4 GPUs are installed with the default optimized UEFI setting. It will be released with 1, 2 or 3 GPUs installed but not 4. So if you are running 4 GPUs when you update your UEFI or you need to reset your CMOS or it crashes due to an overclock attempt you need to pull out a GPU, before you can enter UEFI to make the necessary changes. Required changes to publish with 4 GPUs: 1. Enable 4G decoding (disabled by default)2. Disable CSM support (enabled by default). This is a serious problem. Most people using 4 high-end GPUs on this high-end motherboard will use dedicated water cooling. This means that every time you need to update UEFI or reset CMOS, or have your motherboard reset CMOS for you, you have to do it.1. Drain the water from the circuit.2. Draw 1 GPU.3. Log in to UEFI and change "Optimized Defaults" to allow your computer to post messages with 4 GPUs.4. Reinstall the 4th GPU.5. Refill your water cycle. So if you're running 4 GPUs, you can practically forget about overclocking on this motherboard. 2TB Rocket NVMe 4.0(2) Samsung 970 EVO 2TBEVGA SuperNOVA 1600W T2Full EK Custom LoopGigabyte really needs to reconsider its "optimized by default” UEFI settings with this "flagship” motherboard.
