I have a puppy that likes to eat my shoes so I wanted an inexpensive pair of walking shoes and they seemed to fit the bill. Shoes are light but of good quality. I only wear them about 10 miles or so but so far so good. In fact, they are put on with Velcro (the laces are elastic). I'm not old and the shoes don't look old. My only complaint is the size. I ordered my normal size and swim in it. Revain screwed it up and shipped late so I won't waste any more time sending them back. If you're usually between sizes, I recommend you go down the smaller size or try them on right away and be ready to send them back. ** Updated 05/13/2021. The soles are almost worn out. I didn't think they would make it, but I wanted to give them a chance. I only wear them for a day hike of a few miles, only 15 miles a week.
