Review on πŸ›’οΈ Enhanced SEO: Fill-Rite FR1614 12V 10 GPM Portable Diesel Fuel Transfer Pump with Suction and Discharge Hose, Manual Nozzle by Nathan Skipper

Revainrating 4 out of 5

So far, so good. Here is my experience.

Just moved about 400 gallons of diesel fuel. Install two goldenrod filters on the suction side (one 80 mesh filter + one 17 micron water filter). From that 250 gallons he also squeezed 3 additional goldenrod filters (an 80 mesh filter + a 17 micron water cut filter + 10 micron filter). Got a video on it. 250 gallons are also pumped about 6-8 feet to the top of the gravity fed tank. I also transferred about 150 gallons from the kegs to an unraised tank. I noticed it got a lot warmer as we went uphill but everything was fine. What I didn't like was the duty cycle stated in the manual. It just says "30 minutes" which is meaningless. The duty cycle is usually a percentage or a maximum run time specifying the time it must be idle. So I just let it run for 10 minutes and let it rest for 5 minutes. There is no way I would use the cheap plastic fittings that come with the kit. I also don't like the flimsy red plastic case. I put a large zip tie over it to stabilize the grip and it gave me a lot more confidence. The power cords aren't very long so I just used the jumper cords to extend them. The strain relief socket for the power cord has come out of the case. Have to see how to put it back in. It looks pretty much the same as the cheaper Chinese clones, but I spent a little more to get the Fill-Rite hoping the guts would be of better quality. But he made it. Zero problems with that. The flow rate was similar to that at a gas station. Maybe a little bit more. But the reason I got 10 GPM is because I used to have 20 GPM and it was VERY fast. It was impossible to fill a 5 gallon can without making a mess. The refueling of the tractor also went too quickly. 10 GPM is much more manageable. Hope it lasts long. I hope this review helps someone.
