I was pleasantly surprised by the colours, craftsmanship and overall quality of this product . The window has a very pleasing, subtle Victorian design. I have seen many original windows of this type in houses from the early 1900's. This reproduction is a good representation of these original design windows. Colors - muted pastel shades of green, yellow, purple, white with editors. All glass used has ripples that mimic the glass of old stained glass windows. The pieces of glass are cut and joined with lead that appears to be covered in a dark substance (I don't know what it is) but is precisely and neatly assembled. If I had to guess I'd say it's hand soldered piece by piece and very well made. The window is rigid, with a frame running all four sides, a very strong piece. In addition, there are two places to attach chains (included) in each top corner to hang this item. In my opinion this is a five star reproduction. A good carpenter will easily fit this window into a frame for recessing into a wall. Its size is 17 x 17 inches.
