Assembly is easy, but the initial separation of the front from the back requires patience and perseverance. The manual contains the necessary instructions. I use a screen protector so the fingerprint scanner needs more location awareness but always works. Of course, going back would be to swipe down and enter the lock code. I like the footrest and it works well in either orientation. There was no case on the old phone, the corner fell off and cracked. Immediately $1,400 down the drain. This case is strong enough that I've never had a problem with my new phone getting damaged. I highly recommend this case.
