Review on 🚪 Dorman 76106 Black Tailgate Handle Bezel for Chevrolet / GMC Models by Gerald Mohammed

I have read many reviews that the top tabs are brittle and break during installation. So when I got mine, I was extra careful. Remember you are installing this with the tailgate handle installed and intact. Not someone who reads instructions, I figured you had to use the long top tabs first, then insert the bottom shorter tabs last. Well, it slipped right around the tailgate handle and snapped into place without protest. However, there was a small gap of approximately 1/16 inch at the top of the skirt (between the tailgate body and the skirt). What fixed this gap and held the faceplate firmly in place was the fact that I had previously purchased a "lock" for the tailgate and when I reinstalled it served to hold the faceplate in place to "cement". Now the tailgate handle, bezel and lock are tight and look like new! I am very satisfied with this product.
