Received a few days ago and so far very happy with the quality and functionality. I would like to share a few tips that will make it easier to use. The instructions mention using a certain weight of ground coffee, so this is the first time I got the scale. But once I did it, I realized that pouring the regrind at a specific point in the insert is a sufficient measurement. The proposed way of filling with water is also a bit shaky. The instructions say to pour water through the base, which takes forever as it gushes up and out of the insert. It was a little better to fill the carafe up to the 1000ml mark, insert the filter/coffee grounds and then top up to the maximum mark by pouring coffee/ground. Since the coffee takes some time to brew, pouring all the water through the coffee doesn't do much good. I let it steep for about 24 hours each time. I'd rather let it get a little stronger and dilute it if necessary than make it too weak. Not sure if it matters but I will shake the water/coffee in the carafe when I'm in the fridge. I wish I had a larger version. To always have some on hand, I put it in a large bottle when it's ready to make another batch. When it's done it leaves some sludge/fine soil at the bottom, but if I pour it into a cup or other storage container it's easy enough to stop when it gets to that point to rinse it out.
