This bottle is just what I needed. It's 40 ounces tall and tall but not thick and bulky. It fits well in my backpack and pocket. I drink a ton of water and always fill my bottles at 16 ounces or 24 ounces. I needed something that would fit in my pocket when I travel and work and hold a lot more water. I figured 40 ounces was the perfect size (2 1/2 16 ounce water bottles). It's the perfect amount so I don't have to worry about refilling during long trips or work days. The lid options offered are perfect. While I've never used a straw with my water bottles, I imagine it would come in handy on long car rides. Very happy. Have yet to find out how long it keeps my water cool. I believe it will be good as it is double walled and vacuum insulated.
