I committed a terrible, terrible sin. My cats will never forgive me for that. I bought 24 packs of cat food, it's not a pie. (sigh!) I clicked when I saw the chicken with the sauce and I thought it was ok because the sauce right? When it arrived I froze in panic when I saw the picture. It's not a pie. These are pieces of food that other manufacturers typically see as some kind of horrible plasticine non-food substance in gravy that cats wrinkle their noses and mustaches out of. (Did I mention they're finicky little jerks sometimes?) I tried to act cool when I opened it - don't do anything fancy, just give it to them. Maybe they don't notice. Maybe one of them won't stand on my chest in the middle of the night to discuss my bad decision. Maybe everything will be fine and I won't donate 23 cans of food to a local animal shelter because if you try to donate food to a shelter, you'll end up guiltily adopting another cat - and you know it. It's scary to see them approach the shells - you know they smell fear, right? When I finally turned to check, the food was half gone and they checked each other's bowls to see who had what left - a sign of good food. They ate everything and I can breathe again without fear that they will hand me over to the animal welfare authorities for lousy food abuse. It came in a securely wrapped box of 24 3 ounce cans that are easy to open and portion. I have had great luck with the various cat foods - wet and dry - from this line and will continue to use them.
