Our last house had a filter like this. After some research I decided I wanted to do something different. I bought 3 of these and mounting brackets, 4 Simmons 100psi gauges and 3 filters (50 to 5 micron, 25 to 1 micron and a carbon block filter). I used shark fittings to attach them to the incoming piping and then used PVC for the rest of my build. 1 pressure gauge to check the inlet pressure and 3 more after each filter housing. My incoming water line is 3/4" in diameter. I chose to use 1" PVC pipe to ensure I didn't have a loss of pressure as the water passed through the filtration system. I've also included a bypass for easy filter changes or anything else you might need it for. It turned out great. I have 0 pressure loss on all 4 pressure gauges. If you read the instructions and watch some YouTube videos of what I did, I haven't had a single leak in my entire system. I have never worked as a plumber, but I consider myself an intermediate level handyman.
