I bought this surge protector exactly a year ago and it failed on the first surge this Sunday 30th May 2021. My $2,000 computer was damaged by a surge that shut off the power in my apartment for less than five seconds even though it was plugged into this surge protector. It's almost guaranteed that my motherboard was blown and I'm not sure what other parts were affected. I should get an answer from a mechanic tomorrow. I honestly don't recommend this surge protector. He *did* not do his job. If you have an expensive computer, take the extra step and get a surge protector that won't let you down *on the first surge*. It works as an extension. But the "surge protector" in the title is misleading.
