Very good workmanship, cut quality, smoothness
Going from a 1/4" shank made in China to a 1/2" Whiteside shank made a huge difference. The finish, the quality of the cut, the smoothness of the material after cutting is like nothing I've ever had. Yes, it's not cheap, but once you cut you'll realize it's money well spent.
