Looking good. Ease of installation. So how do you train your cat to use it? It's been a few weeks now and I'm struggling to get my cats to use this device. You're afraid of the door. Also, recommended cat collars hold the drive "wrong". You are not working. I'm surprised that the MOST IMPORTANT element in a device, getting your pet to use it, is completely ignored. I would contact the seller but there is no mechanism for that. Steps I've taken to train cats: 1. Installed magnets on collars2. The safe door is open for them to get used to.3. The lowered door remained unlocked.4. Set the mechanism to open with just the magnet on the collar. The cats carefully push their way through the door but won't come out. One in three cats came up with the idea. The other two almost starved to death! I am VERY interested in how others have taught their cats to use this device. The magnet also sticks to the metal ring on the collar, preventing the collar from dangling. How do I replace a metal ring? a thread? Cable ties, retraction device and additional magnets? Not yet. I'm still trying to train two other cats. All the same age. I'll give him another week. Then send everything back. I am sorry. If it doesn't work, it doesn't work.
