Irregularly shaped metal substrate. The slider turned out to be rusty/corroded when opening the package. The chute doesn't accept braces (T50 braces, by a damn dart or some other brand). They grab it right away and encounter a lot of resistance because it looks like the slide wasn't put together properly. Basically - the whole foil - jam. I can push the staples in with a screwdriver when the slider is out, but it takes a few pounds of pressure to do this. I can almost certainly bend the side rails to make it work, but what a waste of money - that's rubbish. I had the same model which must be at least 20 years old and eventually died and I went with the Arrow again expecting the same quality. Instead, I received a paperweight.
