Great picture suits me

I recently bought this after comparing several other monitors. First I had a 27" AOC monitor. The picture was decent and looked good, but the matte finish was too grainy. Especially at only 1920 x 1080, it was a big monitor for that resolution, and he watched sharp. So I settled on the Dell 27" S2740. It was much better and looked beautiful. I was a little worried about how pixelated the images and icons looked. Especially since it was connected to a Mac Mini, it really didn't look very "Mac-like" and was a little disappointing. That's when I decided that at this resolution and price point I had to be in the 23-24" monitor size range. I have both the Dell 2440 and tried the 2340. While I liked the frame and look of the 24" monitor a bit better, the color depth isn't even comparable to the 23" monitor, which is what led me to this review. The color depth is amazing, and especially if you have an M ac, the IPS panel looks just as good as an iMac any day of the week. The bezel is very thin and the rimless glass makes it look modern and not at all out of place with Apple hardware. I'm not a gamer so for web browsing, photo editing and movie editing this is top notch. Of the monitors I've ever used, the picture quality is at this highest level. I would still prefer this panel in a 2440 case, but that's a very small price. Also note that the "M" model only has a DVI connector, while the "L" model has an HDMI connector. They're identical if you want to use them on a computer, so save over $50 and stick with the "M" model. Everything else is the same. If you're looking for a great 23 inch monitor (especially if you have a Mac) I highly recommend this one!
