When I first bought this Echo console it worked very well. Unfortunately, winter has come and the stove in my house is turned on very regularly. Because my oven is very loud, the Echo Dot's microphone array picks up more of the oven's ambient noise than my voice. I had to repeat the commands over and over multiple times before the Echo Dot remote understood what I was talking about. While this remote works very well in low ambient noise, it fails miserably when normal background noise is present.
