Bought these to use as cushions between dishes in our boat closet. When I first opened the package I was worried that the slices had somehow melted (heat/sun on the packaging?) but they were in perfect condition! Just note that they're a bit tricky to disassemble the first time. The second thing that bothered me was that they could glue the panels together, but that's not the case either. They did exactly what I was hoping for - they keep the plates from sliding around the cupboard while I work, but I can easily separate the plates when I need them. They are perfectly grippy and the right thickness. The bonus is that I can also use them as a burner and protect my hands from hot pot handles. I even ordered a second set!
